ASH — Lois Ludlum Formyduval, 99, of Ash, N.C., died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017.
She was born May 26, 1917 a daughter of the late Jesse Louis Ludlum and Callie Piver Ludlum. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Parley Pratt Formyduval Sr. and her son Parley Pratt Formyduval Jr.
In addition to her daughter Avis and Jearl Williams and their daughter Victoria Williams of Easley, S.C. she is survived by her daughter Deborah Simmons, and her grandsons, Jamie Simmons of Ash, NC as well as Davis and Aimee Simmons of Waxhaw, N.C. They have two children Greyson and James. Additional survivors include another grandson, Daniel Pratt Formyduval and sister-in-law, Esther Roberts of Lake Jackson, Texas.
She was the oldest member of Soldier Bay Baptist Church and memorials may be directed to the church at PO Box 10, Ash, NC 28420.
The family wishes to particularly thank the staff of Autumn Care for their loving care and concern for her wellbeing. We also wish to thank our cousin Jettie Babson and her family for their special attention they gave her over the years, as we could not be with her full time.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service by The Reverend Charlie Smith and The Reverend Jason L. Benton. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
