WILMINGTON – Joyce Bowling Bevan, 67, of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center surrounded by her immediate family.
Mrs. Bevan was born on Dec. 16, 1948, in Southport, North Carolina, daughter of the late Monos Bowling and Molcie Reynolds Bowling. She is also preceded in death by her son, David Andrew Bevan.
She was the owner/ designer of Elegant Accessories Wedding Cakes and Flowers for more than 15 years.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Victor J. Bevan, Jr.; daughter, Stephanie Bevan; sister, Betty Dale Bowling Jordan and her husband Jimmy, all of Wilmington, North Carolina; and twin sister, Lois Bowling Powell and her husband Michael of Carolina Beach, North Carolina; three nephews; one niece; four great nieces; and two great nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
