Ernest Bradley Murry Jr., 71, enjoyed building ships in bottles

WILMINGTON — Ernest Bradley Murry Jr., 71, passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 18, 1945, in Dillon, S.C., to the late Ernest B. Murry Sr. and Aline Williamson Murry. Ernest loved fishing and any water activities. He also enjoyed building ships in bottles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lonnie and Fred Murry.

Survivors include his brother, James Murray, and his wife, Patsy; sisters, Alice Eason, Helen Robinson and Ruth Guevara; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, at Andrews Market Street Chapel and other times at the residence of Helen Robinson, 113 Shearin Hills Drive, Castle Hayne. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at Federal Point Cemetery, Carolina Beach.
